The 1997 Rover Mini 1. 3 MPi represents the final evolution of the classic Mini, often referred to as the Mark 7
Introduced in late 1996, these ‘Multi-Point Injection’ (MPi) models brought modern engineering to the iconic 1959 design to meet stricter European safety standards – drivers side airbag, side-impact door bars, and seatbelt pretensioners (SRS)
The Mini Cooper was the most common and sought-after MPi variant, often featuring racing stripes and contrast roofs.
Powered by the 1, 275cc A-series inline-four with Multi-Point Fuel Injection offering 62–63bhp as standard
Offered here is a striking example of the MPi Mini Cooper in Amaranth purple with a white cap and stripes, one of the rarest colours available today due to limited number being sold back in the day.
There have been three owners from new and the history file contains invoices up until it was put in dry storage in 2014. It came out of the private mini collection in January this year and went through a recommission, where the fuel tank was dropped and flushed as well as all fuel lines etc. It then went through a full service with all plugs etc replaced and a fresh MOT which is valid till Feb 2027.
